HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
FEBRUARY SCHEDULE
We follow the Massena Central School Calendar. There will be no classes Monday, February 20 through Saturday, February 25 because of mid-winter recess.
RECITAL INFORMATION
The recital is scheduled for the weekend of June 16 at Massena Central High School. If all goes well with the schedule, we will rehearse during the week before and have the recital on Saturday, the 16th. However, it could end up being Sunday, June 17th. Either way, save that weekend! More details will be available as we get closer.
COSTUME BILLS
Thank you to everyone who paid their costume bill on time. If you still haven’t paid your bill, you will have to pay a larger shipping fee and must contact the studio for an updated total. Costumes that have not been paid have not been ordered. Costumes not ordered by mid February will not arrive in time for the recital.
STUDIO BUSINESS HOURS
Regular studio business hours are as follows:
Monday 4:00 – 9:00
Tuesday 4:00 – 9:00
Wednesday 4:00 – 9:00
Thursday 4:00 – 9:00
Friday 4:00 – 9:00
Saturday 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
A desk receptionist is on duty during these hours to assist you if necessary. Please try to conduct all studio business during these times. If you need assistance during non-business hours, please call the studio at 769-2878 and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
TUITION
Tuition is due with the first class of each month. Any tuition, which remains unpaid by the second class will be, assessed a 10 % late fee. This late fee is computed automatically and will remain on your bill until it is paid.
STUDIO CANCELLATIONS
As outlined in the studio policies and procedures, we DO NOT automatically close when school is cancelled because of weather. More often than not, the conditions are improved by class time and there would be no reason to cancel. If you are not sure about class, please call 769-2878. I will make every attempt to call you when it becomes necessary to cancel.
DANCEWEAR
Dancewear is required. That means a leotard and tights, dance pants, or bike shorts and tights (sweats are OK). You cannot move in jeans or jean type slacks. Bare legs are not appropriate. Hair MUST be tied back. Short hair should be pulled off the face. Ballet classes require a leotard and tights. You may add a skirt or snug fitting shirt.
If your pants hit the floor, THEY ARE TOO LONG.
Do not park in the traffic circle. There is parking along the white fence. The circle is designed only for dropping off or picking up. If you escort your child into the studio, you MUST park along the fence and walk in. THIS HAS BECOME A MAJOR SEFETY CONCERN and an annoyance for those of you who have so willingly cooperated. If you leave your car unattended in the circle, no one can get past you and cars are forced to back up to get out. This is not a safe situation. There are NO exceptions to this. There is NO reason to park in the circle and it’s only a few extra feet from the fence. DO NOT PARK IN THE CIRCLE. DO NOT PARK IN THE CIRCLE. DO NOT PARK IN THE CIRCLE.
SOLO – DUETS - TRIOS
We will be offering a limited number of solo, duo, trios this year. Because of the tight schedule, there are only 10 slots available. Classes will begin sometime this month or next month. Prices are as follows:
Solos $150 per dancer Duet/Trio $100 per dancer
There will be 10 classes. Each class is 20 minutes long. Come early to stretch on your own.
Classes must be paid in advance in full. If you can not attend a scheduled class, you must give your instructor 24 hours notice and make arrangements to reschedule, or that class will be forfeited.
You may choose the style of dance you wish to do. The studio will assign the music and the instructor.
Dancers, before you sign up for these classes, you must obtain your parents permission. All accounts must be paid up to date.
EASTER CANDY FUND RAISER
You will be receiving the Niagara Chocolate fund raising brochure and instruction sheet. Collect money and SALES TAX when you take the order. Checks should be made out to “CASH”. The last day to hand in orders is Feb. 18.
